Root Creatures is made for children, so we collect as little personal information as possible and never sell it. This policy explains what we collect and why.

1. Children's privacy comes first

Accounts and purchases must be made by a parent or legal guardian.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children beyond gameplay progress tied to the parent's account.
We do not show third-party advertising, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
Parents may review or delete their child's data at any time by contacting us.

2. What we collect

Account data: parent's email address and password (stored securely by our database provider, Supabase).
Game progress: which creatures are unlocked and which words were answered.
Payment data: handled entirely by Paddle.com, our merchant of record. We never see or store card numbers. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
Local storage: if you play without an account, progress is saved only in your own browser and never sent to us.

3. How we use information

To operate the game, save progress, process subscriptions, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. That's all. Root Creatures is a fully digital service — we never collect shipping addresses because we do not ship physical goods.

4. Where data lives

Account and progress data are stored with Supabase (cloud infrastructure). Payment data is processed by Paddle. These providers may process data outside your country with appropriate safeguards.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your progress and personal information, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons.

6. Cookies

We use only essential storage needed for login sessions and saving game progress. No advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will post the update here with a new date.
